Kosovo Maintains High Vaccination Rates, Continues to Strengthen Immunization Program
Kosovo continues to prioritize public health through robust immunization efforts, maintaining a consistently high coverage rate for preventative vaccinations. Vaccination remains the safest and most effective method for protecting the population against a range of dangerous diseases. Significant advancements have been made within Kosovo’s immunization program since 2024.
These improvements include the successful integration of new vaccines into the established immunization calendar, expanding the scope of protection available to children. Currently, the national immunization program encompasses 13 antigens, administered to children throughout the country. This program, now in its third year of incorporating these new vaccines, underscores the ongoing commitment to safeguarding public health.
