Casualty Figures Rise in Lebanon Following Ongoing Israeli Operations
The Lebanese Ministry of Health reports that more than 2,600 people have been killed in Lebanon as a result of ongoing Israeli operations since March 2, 2026. The figures, detailed in an update published today, indicate a total of 2,679 individuals have died due to Israeli attacks within the country. This toll has increased significantly since the initial reporting of 2,294 fatalities on April 17th, when a ceasefire between Israel and Hezbollah came into effect at midnight.
According to the Ministry of Health’s data, a further 385 people have been killed during the subsequent period of the ceasefire. The information comes as the Israeli military issued an urgent evacuation warning earlier today, targeting several cities in southern Lebanon. The ongoing operations have raised serious concerns regarding civilian casualties.
