Havolli Claims Dismissal Linked to Alleged PDK Influence
Prishtina – Former Director of the Capital Investment Directorate for the Prishtina Municipality, Sokol Havolli, has publicly stated that his dismissal by Mayor Përparim Rama was attributed to allegations of influence from the People’s Democratic Party (PDK). The claim was made during an appearance on Pressing in T7. Havolli’s statement followed accusations from Mayor Rama regarding his alleged undue influence.
Deputy Chairman of PDK, Uran Ismaili, addressed the situation in a televised interview. Ismaili confirmed Havolli’s close relationship with the PDK, stating he considered the former director “one of the closest people” he had worked with. “We have informed and worked together in government,” Ismaili stated.
“He has the most affinity with PDK.” He further characterized Havolli’s statement as “somewhat meaningless,” emphasizing their prior collaborative work. The exchange highlights ongoing tensions between the Mayor of Prishtina and the PDK. Neither party has elaborated extensively on the specific reasons for Havolli’s dismissal, but the accusations center around potential influence exerted by the pdk.
The incident is being closely watched within Prishtina’s political landscape.
