Finance Minister Highlights Importance of Stability Amid Global Uncertainty
Brussels – Addressing the Economic and Financial Dialogue today, Macedonian Finance Minister Gordana Dimitrieska-Koçoska underscored the critical need for public and macroeconomic stability in the current global environment. The dialogue, a key component of the 12th Economic and Financial Dialogue, focused on economic development, associated challenges, and national policy plans. According to a statement from the Ministry of Finance, discussions centered on adopting targeted policy recommendations for each participating country, slated for implementation in the coming period.
Minister Koçoska highlighted the significant constraints facing finance ministers, primarily stemming from “limited fiscal space” resulting from recent crises and substantial pandemic-era fiscal support. “The limited fiscal space is the most urgent issue facing finance ministers,” Koçoska stated. She acknowledged the ongoing challenges related to development while emphasizing the importance of sound financial management.
The event aimed to foster collaboration and address shared economic concerns within the broader global context. Participants explored strategies to navigate ongoing uncertainty and ensure sustainable economic growth.
