Haradinaj Family Honors Kosovo Heroes in Deçan and Gllogjan
Deçan, Kosovo – Alliance for the Future of Kosovo leader Ramush Haradinaj commemorated hero of Kosovo, General Major Luan Haradinaj, and national issue activist Smajl Haradinaj today, marking a significant day of remembrance. The event took place in Deçan and at the Memorial Complex in Gllogjan. The commemoration coincided with May 6th, the birthday of Gjergj Kastriot Skënderbe, and the 29th anniversary of the death of General Major Luan Haradinaj.
Throughout the tributes, the importance of Luan Haradinaj’s role within liberation organizations was highlighted. Speakers emphasized his influence in mobilizing fighters who contributed to the path towards Kosovo’s freedom and eventual victory. Ramush Haradinaj reflected on his father’s sacrifice and heroism, stating that these actions form the foundation of Kosovo’s independence.
