Fire Damages Homes in São Paulo Neighborhood
A significant fire occurred in the Jaguaré neighborhood of São Paulo, Brazil, on Monday, resulting in damage to approximately ten houses and three injuries. Local authorities, including the São Paulo State Fire Department, responded to the incident, which occurred roughly 16 kilometers from the city center. Images released by local media depicted extensive damage to buildings and visible smoke within the affected area.
The São Paulo State Fire Department confirmed the deployment of twelve fire trucks to combat the blaze. Initial investigations suggest a possible cause of the explosion was a liquid petroleum gas (LPG) incident. According to the department’s post on X, this remains the leading theory.
Two men and one woman sustained minor injuries as a result of the event and were subsequently treated by medical personnel. Authorities reported that no fatalities occurred. “Some buildings were affected” stated a fire department spokesperson during subsequent interviews.
Emergency services are continuing to manage the situation and assess the full extent of the damage. Further updates will be provided as they become available.
