Ferizaj Police Arrest Suspect for Drug Possession
Ferizaj, Kosovo – The Drug Trafficking Investigation Directorate in Ferizaj has announced the arrest of a Kosovar male suspect on suspicion of drug possession. The incident occurred on May 13, 2026, at 18:44. Following a targeted operation, police units conducted a search of the suspect and his residence.
During the search, law enforcement officers discovered and seized several items indicative of potential drug trafficking activity. The recovered materials included one nylon bag containing a suspicious substance identified as marijuana, totaling 4.61 grams. Additionally, authorities confiscated a second nylon bag containing 53.43 grams of the same substance, resulting in a total seized narcotic weight of 58.04 grams.
In addition to the drug material, a mobile phone and a quantity of banknotes in various paper denominations, amounting to 7, were also taken into evidence. Authorities estimate the street value of the seized drug to be approximately 600-700 euros. The suspect is currently in police custody as investigations continue.
