Konjufca Attributes Cooling Relations Between Vetëvendosje and Osmani to Parliamentary Statement
Prishtina – Glauk Konjufca, the deputy leader of the Vetëvendosje Movement, has indicated a deterioration in relations between his party and former President Vjosa Osmani during 2024. Speaking on RTV Dukagjini’s “Debat Plus” program, konjufca characterized Osmani’s statement in parliament as an “open attack” against the Albin Kurti government. Konjufca explained that Osmani’s speech at the close of 2024, which included criticism of the government’s approach to US relations, highlighted a growing division between herself and Vetëvendosje.
He noted that cooperation had been stronger during the periods of 2022 and 2023. “For her declaration in December 2024, it seemed to me that Vjosa Osmani made a division,” konjufca stated. He referenced a specific point of contention, referring to Osmani’s comments concerning a particular individual, which he described as an “open attack.”
The deputy leader’s comments suggest a shift in dynamics within the political landscape of Kosovo, raising questions about the future of collaboration between Vetëvendosje and its former presidential office.
The situation appears to have marked a significant change in relations, moving from a period of cooperation to one characterized by increased divergence.
