The election of the head of the Public High Prosecutor’s Office failed, as none of the candidates received enough votes.

The Public Prosecutors Council held session 40 today, but was unable to determine a new head for the State Public Prosecution Office – Skopje. This lack of resolution stemmed from the fact that no single candidate garnered the required number of votes, as detailed by Telegrafi Macedonia. During the meeting, the Council carefully examined the applications submitted by Fatime Feta, Vladimir Miloshevski, Artan Ajro, and Jasmina Kostovska Zdravevska.

The fifth applicant, Aleksandar Markovski, had previously been appointed as a public prosecutor within the State Public Prosecution Office – Skopje. Council Chairman Bashkim Selimi initially indicated that seven candidates had initially applied for the vacant position. Notably, two of these, Xhelal Bajrami and Trajçe Pelivanov, had subsequently withdrawn their applications.

State Public Prosecutor Nenad Savesk was also present at the session, contributing to the deliberations surrounding the selection of the new head of the public office.
