In the recent installment of the “Arena e Yjeve” podcast, former Kosovo footballer Suad Keqi appeared as a guest. This program was produced with the backing of the official sponsor, Exfis. Keqi shared recollections about his experiences and the trophies he achieved while playing for Pristina.
He detailed the challenging circumstances they faced during that period. Keqi described the initial year, stating, “The first year there meant the second-league of Yugoslavia and we continued like that then we left the stadium.” He discussed his tenure with the club, spanning from 1991 to 1994. “From that year, about the time I spent in Pristina, we were champions with Pristina.”
Furthermore, Keqi identified himself and his teammates as a “generation of sacrifice.” He explained that despite their technical abilities, they encountered significant difficulties due to the improvised playing conditions.
“Then in those improvised conditions, as more technically skilled players we had it very difficult,” Keqi recounted. The complete episode is available for listening.
