Hamza presents the PDK’s program: 50 percent increase in salaries and pensions, 30 million euros annually for student scholarships

Bedri Hamza, Chairman and candidate for Prime Minister of the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK), unveiled the core components of his government platform during a campaign launch event in Ferizaj. The program outlines several key policy initiatives aimed at economic improvement and social support for Kosovar citizens. A central pillar of the hamza PDK platform is a commitment to significant increases in public sector compensation.

Specifically, he pledged a 50% raise for both public sector salaries and pensions. Hamza stated that his administration would focus on establishing a government characterized by work, development, and citizen dignity. Beyond salary adjustments, the program addresses the cost of living.

Hamza announced intentions to reduce prices and eliminate the Tax on Value Added (TVSH) for essential goods, aiming to increase disposable income for citizens. Furthermore, the platform includes a substantial commitment to education through scholarships. Hamza announced an allocation of 30 million euros annually for student scholarships.

In summarizing his vision, Hamza emphasized that the policy goals were designed to alleviate financial burdens. He asserted that the focus would be on putting more money into citizens’ pockets rather than imposing additional financial obligations. These proposals represent the detailed framework that hamza and the PDK intend to implement should they assume the premiership.
