“How is it possible that non-farmer airlines are supported?” Muja: They have been supported with fuel and payments for grain up to 600 euros.

During a press conference held on T7, Minister of Agriculture, Armend Muja, addressed questions regarding government subsidies, specifically addressing the apparent disparity in support provided to airlines versus the agricultural sector. When questioned about the allocation of state aid, Muja clarified the existing support structures for farmers. He noted that in the previous year, the agricultural sector had been supported through subsidies covering both fuel costs and artificial fertilizer.

Regarding the current period, Muja confirmed that farmers are slated to receive compensation for both fuel and artificial fertilizer. Furthermore, the Minister detailed additional measures designed to bolster the agricultural workforce. He stated that specific support packages will be available for young farmers and for all farmers operating on their first hectare of land.

In addition to operational subsidies, the financial compensation for harvested crops has also increased. Muja reported that while grain payments were previously set at 120 euros, the current allocation will range between 460 and 600 euros. Through these announcements, Muja outlined multiple avenues through which the agricultural sector remains supported by government measures, ensuring compensation for essential inputs like fuel and fertilizer.
