Journalist and analyst Enver Robelli offered commentary on the recent election process in Kosovo, noting that the populace appears weary of the frequency of elections amid ongoing political and institutional challenges. In a statement shared via Facebook, Robelli emphasized the necessity of awaiting the official final results. He cautioned against relying solely on preliminary data, asserting that polls and exit polls can lack complete accuracy.
“We must wait for the final announcement of the results by the Central Election Commission,” Robelli wrote. He further elaborated that the vote tally is incomplete, specifically mentioning that mail-in ballots have yet to be counted. He added that these votes are primarily from the diaspora, constituting over 100,000 ballots.
The initial analysis of vote shifts presented preliminary figures. According to the data cited, the LVV reportedly lost over 136,000 votes, while the PDK experienced a loss of 38,000 votes. Conversely, the LDK was noted to have increased its vote count by approximately 3,000 votes.
Robelli’s comments highlight a prevailing sentiment among the citizens regarding the need for stability following a period of intense electoral activity.
