Hamza: We do not have red lines for any party; without a political agreement, there are no institutions.

Bedri Hamza, the candidate for prime minister from the Democratic Party of Kosovo, asserted on Monday that the formation of new state institutions is contingent upon reaching comprehensive political agreements. Speaking at a press conference, Hamza addressed questions regarding potential cooperation with the Vetëvendosje Movement, clarifying that he does not exclude any political entity from the discussion. Hamza emphasized his commitment to dialogue, stating that throughout his political career, he has not drawn any firm boundaries.

“At no point during my political journey have I drawn red lines; I have not drawn any in these elections, and I believe it is not good for us to have red lines; we are always open to dialogue,” Hamza stated. Regarding the path forward, the politician indicated that his preference remains the establishment of a government comprising parties that have historically been in opposition. However, he cautioned that the ultimate feasibility of any arrangement is subject to the numerical strength within the Assembly.

Hamza concluded by asserting that the primary consideration must be what he believes is healthiest for the country’s overall stability and progress. His statements underscore a focus on pragmatic coalition building rather than strict ideological adherence to secure a governing mandate.
