A significant fire broke out involving a van close to an automotive repair facility and tire store in Shkodër. The event unfolded during the evening on the second kilometer of the Shkodër–Hani i Hotit roadway. Initial reports indicate that personnel were engaged in welding activities underneath the van when the motor vehicle unexpectedly ignited.
The vehicle rapidly became engulfed in flames, ultimately being entirely consumed by the intense blaze. Fortunately, the workers and other individuals present at the location successfully evacuated the area without any reported injuries. As a consequence of the destructive fire, another vehicle was also damaged, and considerable harm was inflicted upon the repair shop and the tire store.
Emergency services responded promptly to the scene. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation. Authorities are examining the circumstances surrounding the incident, focusing on the welding operations and the initial ignition of the vehicle.
