Malisheva with the largest drop in voter turnout, followed by Prizren and Pristina

Early elections held on July 7th registered a noticeable decline in citizen participation when compared to the previous election cycle on December 28th of last year. Preliminary data indicates that approximately 725,000 citizens cast ballots in the recent vote, marking a decrease from the 906,000 voters recorded in the prior process. This figure represents an overall reduction in turnout of approximately 20 percent.

Analysis of the results highlights several municipalities that experienced the most significant decline in voter participation. Among these areas, Prizren, Pristina, and Malisheva reported the steepest decreases. Specifically, Prizren recorded the largest absolute drop in voter numbers, with 17,523 fewer citizens participating.

Pristina followed with a decrease of 14,187 voters, while Malisheva saw a reduction of 11,370 voters. When examining the decline by percentage, Malisheva led the way with the most pronounced decrease of 41.60 percent. Rahoveci also showed a substantial decline, falling by 36.97 percent, followed by Mamusha, which registered a 33.20 percent drop.

These figures provide a detailed overview of the varied levels of civic engagement across different localities during the early election period.
