During the month of April, the Ferizaj Regional Police significantly increased the intensity of traffic controls, directing particular focus toward drivers operating motorcycles and scooters. According to the official police report, enforcement actions resulted in the issuance of 106 fines to motorcycle drivers. Furthermore, authorities successfully confiscated 74 motorcycles that were operating in violation of established road traffic laws and regulations.

The violations documented during the enforcement period were diverse. The majority of infractions involved licensing and registration issues, with 52 fines issued for operating a motorcycle without a valid driver’s license, and 46 fines for operating vehicles lacking proper registration. Additionally, three fines were recorded for failure to wear required safety gear, such as a helmet.

The total number of confiscated motorcycles underscores the breadth of non-compliance observed on the roads. The police department issued a formal statement emphasizing that improper operation of motorcycles and disregard for established traffic rules pose a direct threat to the lives of the riders and all other participants in traffic. Authorities urged the public to exercise caution, adhere strictly to posted speed limits, and exercise heightened awareness when navigating intersections.

These measures aim to enhance overall road safety and ensure compliance with national traffic standards for all motorcycle users.
