Americans attack Iran again

The United States Central Command (CENTCOM) announced the commencement of military operations targeting Iran, stating the action was directed by U.S. President Donald Trump. According to the official statement, the primary objective of these attacks is to diminish Iran’s capacity to threaten freedom of navigation within the Strait of Hormuz.

These announced military actions followed earlier reports from Iranian media detailing explosions in southern areas of the country, specifically mentioning Bandar Abbas and Sirik. During a NATO summit in Turkey, President Trump reiterated the U.S. commitment to striking Iran again, citing the incidents that occurred the previous night and the current operations.

The stated justification for both the recent and ongoing attacks involves confrontations with Iranian forces. The U.S. government asserts that these measures are a direct response to attacks carried out by Iran against three commercial vessels transiting the Strait of Hormuz earlier this week.

The ships identified were the tanker M/T Al Rekayyat, flagged by the Marshall Islands; the tanker M/T Wedyan, flagged by Saudi Arabia; and the vessel M/T Cyprus Prosperity, flagged by Liberia. The sequence of events—from attacks on commercial shipping to reports covered by local media, and culminating in the declaration of new military actions against Iran—marks a heightened level of regional tension. CENTCOM framed the offensive as a necessary step to ensure maritime security in vital international waterways.
