Allegations that the son of the Mayor of Prizren began construction work within the Historic Center without adequate permits

Concerns have been voiced by the organization “Ec Ma Ndryshe” and opposition figures in Prizren, who allege that the ongoing construction work commenced without securing the requisite permits from cultural heritage authorities. Information obtained from the Agency of Business Registration in Kosovo (ARBK) indicates that the property slated for development is jointly owned by Adonis Totaj, identified as the son of the Mayor of Prizren, Shaqir Totaj, and another individual, Dren Elshani.

The commencement of this significant construction project in a protected historic zone has consequently drawn attention to procedural compliance.
