The Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK) has announced it will cease participation in further meetings with the acting Prime Minister, Albin Kurti, the former leader of the LDK. The party characterized these ongoing discussions as unnecessary and a departure from the established procedures required for the constitution of state institutions. According to PDK deputy Blerta Deliu, the party maintains a firm position, asserting that the definitive path toward resolving the current political impasse is the immediate constitution of the Kosovo Parliament.
Deliu stated, “The PDK has clarified its position. We do not need to meet with Albin Kurti anymore, as it is clear that these meetings are a farce. If Albin Kurti had the will, he would first constitution the Kosovo Parliament and second, bring everything into full harmony with the rules and laws of the Republic.”
The PDK leadership emphasized that continuing to meet with Kurti is unproductive.
They suggested that the focus should remain on procedural adherence rather than further dialogue sessions. The party indicated that meaningful progress requires concrete steps toward establishing the full functionality of the parliament. By withdrawing from these meetings, the PDK signals its commitment to a process governed strictly by established constitutional frameworks, rather than political negotiation through scheduled discussions.
