Traffic Delays Expected in Nerëza Due to Mountain Trail Race
Residents of Nerëza can anticipate temporary traffic disruptions starting at 7:00 AM on Tuesday. There will be three separate five-minute closures of traffic flow, scheduled for 7:00-7:05 AM, 8:00-8:05 AM, and 9:00-9:05 AM. These closures are necessary to accommodate the “Vodno-Matka Trails 2026” mountain running race.
The race will begin and end at the “Fshati Makedonias” complex. The course includes a portion of the public road leading to the upper village of Nerëza (near the mosque), followed by a section through mountainous trails, according to a statement from the Ministry of Interior (MPB). Additionally, a street race organized by the Skopje Sports Federation will take place at 10:00 AM.
