The Pristina municipality has resumed work on a project to upgrade underground infrastructure along George Bush Street. The resumption follows approval from the Institute for the Protection of Monuments of Kosovo. Work began over a month ago, but has since been halted due to concerns regarding compliance with workplace safety and health regulations.
Municipal officials have not commented on the situation. The municipality initiated the project to address technical infrastructure improvements. The Institute for the Protection of Monuments of Kosovo recently granted approval for this phase of the work.
Rrezarta Loxha Vitaku, the institute’s head, indicated that the project was under review last week. The project involves underground construction and its progress is currently under scrutiny.
