Infant Taken to Hospital in Malishevë; Investigation Launched
Gjakova, Kosovo – Police responded to an incident involving a two-week-old infant taken to the QKMF (Kosovo Psychiatric Medical Center) in Malishevë by relatives. The event occurred around 05:40 this morning, according to reports. Sheremet Elezi, spokesperson for the Kosovo Police’s Gjakova region, confirmed the incident and stated that police units were immediately dispatched to the scene.
The state prosecutor was also notified and, in consultation with law enforcement, the case has been classified as “Investigation of Death.”
Preliminary reports indicate the infant was transported to the qkmf without signs of life. Details surrounding the circumstances of the infant’s arrival remain under investigation. “Police units responded to the incident, and the state prosecutor was notified,” Elezi stated.
“The investigation is ongoing, and further information will be released as it becomes available.”
The case is being handled by the appropriate authorities, and updates will be provided by the Kosovo Police.
