Yesterday, authorities in Kumanova took into custody a man suspected of initiating a fire. The incident occurred in the village of Çellopek, resulting in damage to a resident’s property. Officers from the Internal Affairs Sector in Kumanova arrested D.P., a resident of Algunjë, Staro Nagorican municipality, on March 15, 2026, at 12:55.
It’s believed that D.P. was responsible for burning dry branches and agricultural waste within Çellopek, Staro Nagorican municipality. This action led to a significant fire that severely impacted the land owned by G.S.
(60), a resident of Kumanova. The blaze also destroyed several trees on the affected property. The Territorial Unit of Firefighters from Staro Nagorican successfully extinguished the fire.
Fortunately, there were no injuries reported as a result of the event. Following the complete documentation of the incident, D.P. was transported to the police station.
Legal proceedings will commence, and formal charges will be filed against him concerning this dangerous fire.
