Serbian Citizen Arrested in Skopje Following Hit Investigation

A 42-year-old Serbian citizen, identified as S.M., was arrested in Skopje, North Macedonia, on Wednesday as part of a coordinated operation involving police forces from Serbia and the Republic of Srpska (RSM). The arrest stems from suspicions of planning a violent act. According to reports from Serbian media, the operation was the culmination of long-term operational cooperation and information exchange between the Serbian State Protection Service (ShShK) and the Ministry of Interior of North Macedonia.

The suspect was located within a shelter in Skopje following sustained surveillance. A subsequent police raid at the location uncovered a significant quantity of weapons and tactical equipment. Authorities seized a CZ pistol, a military knife, and a black tactical uniform.

Investigations revealed that S.M. had illegally crossed the state border. Furthermore, a Serbian identity card belonging to another individual was discovered on his person, which he utilized for identification purposes.
