During the fourth quarter of 2025, the Albanian job market presents several positive developments. Employment levels have risen, and wages have also seen an improvement. According to data from the Institute of Statistics (INSTAT), the labor force participation rate for individuals aged 15 to 64 reached 75.9%, representing an increase of 0.4 percentage points compared to the previous year’s figures.
The employment rates for the 15-year-old demographic increased significantly, rising to 58.5% with an annual growth of 0.9 percentage points. Simultaneously, unemployment rates decreased to 8.3%, a reduction of 0.5 percentage points compared to the fourth quarter of 2024. INSTAT’s reports indicate that approximately 1,172,550 people are currently employed, alongside 105,906 individuals who are unemployed.
Furthermore, the average monthly gross wage for an employee amounted to 86,984 Lek (approximately 870 euros). These figures demonstrate a favorable trend within the Albanian economy.
