New Leadership Appointed for AKR at Extraordinary Congress
Kosovo – The New Kosovo Alliance (AKR) finalized its leadership structure following a VI Extraordinary General Congress held yesterday. The event resulted in the election of new officials by majority vote. Emir Abrashi was selected as the head of the AKR.
Alongside him, Liridon Llapashtica was appointed General Secretary. Gjergj Beka, Festina Kurteshi, and Bejtush Gashi were elected as Vice Presidents. Petrit Makolli was chosen as Secretary of Organization, and Gëzim Rafuna was designated Secretary for Relations with Abroad.
The announcement highlighted the recognition of Behgjet Pacolli’s longstanding contributions to the party, with him being honored as the Emeritus President of the AKR. During the congress, the General Council was also established, and amendments were approved to the AKR’s Statute. These changes reflect the party’s direction moving forward.
The newly elected leadership will oversee the AKR’s operations and strategy.
