Andonovski stated that with electronic archiving, keeping documents in filing cabinets becomes obsolete.

The Minister of Digital Transformation, Stefan Andonovski, highlighted the crucial advantages of the National Document Management System (eDMS) in boosting institutional effectiveness and tackling corruption. He emphasized that the shift to an electronic archive represents a significant departure from traditional practices. Previously, storing documents on hard drives was commonplace.

Now, with the National System for Document Management, an electronic archive is implemented. This system automatically assigns a unique identifier to each document upon entry, ensuring its permanent accessibility. Andonovski explained that the system meticulously tracks every document’s lifecycle.

It records the precise moment a document enters the institution, details its distribution, identifies the responsible party, and monitors its duration within each procedural phase. The core functionality of the product is remarkably straightforward. When Andonovski arrived at the institution, he noted the system’s ability to prevent document loss and eliminate forgotten files.

No longer reliant on physical storage, the system provides complete transparency and accountability regarding every document.
