Fuel Prices Decrease Further as Ministry Sets New Maximums
The Ministry of Industry, Entrepreneurship, Trade and Innovation announced today, April 22, 2026, revised maximum allowed prices for oil derivatives, reflecting a continued downward trend. The new prices take effect at 10:00 and apply to all retail sales points across the country. Diesel prices have been reduced to 1.65 euros per liter, a decrease of 3 cents from yesterday’s price of 1.68 euros.
Gasoline prices have also fallen to 1.39 euros per liter, a reduction from the previous day’s price of 1.41 euros. The price of gas remains stable at 0.88 euros per liter. These changes represent a continuation of recent price declines observed in the oil market.
The Ministry’s decision aims to stabilize consumer prices for these essential fuels. The adjustments were made following ongoing monitoring of market conditions and reflect the current dynamics of the oil sector. Consumers will now pay these new prices at all retail locations nationwide.
The Ministry continues to assess market trends and will adjust prices as necessary. These changes are being monitored closely as part of the ongoing effort to manage fuel prices in the country.
