Damaged repaired wagons were found at Elez Village.

At the Elezit Railway Station, a new problem has arisen concerning damage to multiple recently refurbished railcars by Trainkos Sh.A., the state-owned railway company. The vehicles experienced graffiti markings while undergoing painting. These wagons were a key component of a substantial public investment, totaling around 423,000 euros, provided by the government of Kosovo’s budget.

This funding was specifically designated for the restoration and upgrade of the nation’s railway infrastructure. The goal was to enhance rail transport services throughout the region. Trainkos has issued a firm statement, vehemently denouncing this vandalism.

They insist that those accountable for the defacement must be located and brought to justice. This incident of damage to public property is detrimental not only to the company itself but also to the investments made by citizens. Furthermore, it impedes the ongoing efforts to modernize the country’s railway services.

The situation highlights the importance of protecting vital railway assets and ensuring the successful completion of projects intended to improve transport connectivity. The damage to the wagons represents a setback for the entire railway system. /Telegrafi/ Hani i Ele
