Early elections begin a period for the accreditation of political party observers, organizations, and media.

Central Election Commission Moves Forward with June 7th Early Elections

The Central Election Commission (CEC) is actively proceeding with the implementation of its plan and activities related to the upcoming early elections scheduled for June 7th. A key component of this process is the commencement of accreditation activities for various observers. Beginning today, May 7th, a 26-day accreditation period is underway for observers representing political parties and organizations.

Simultaneously, the CEC has opened the accreditation period for media representatives. This accreditation period will conclude on May 30th. All registered political parties in Kosovo have been mandated by the CEC to formally declare their intention to participate in, or not participate in, the early elections for the Assembly of Kosovo on June 7th.

This notification obligation extends until May 7th. The CEC’s actions are designed to ensure a transparent and well-observed electoral process. The accreditation period is a crucial step in verifying the presence of independent observers across the political landscape.

The Commission emphasizes the importance of timely notification from all political parties to facilitate accurate electoral preparations.
