Fifteen Drivers Detained Across Multiple Cities Following Traffic Violations
Over the past 24 hours, law enforcement agencies nationwide conducted a series of operations resulting in the arrest of fifteen drivers for various traffic offenses. The incidents occurred in numerous cities throughout North Macedonia, including Skopje, Kumanovo, Tetovo, Gostivar, Veles, Dibra, Mănastiri, Negotin, and Stip. Authorities report that the drivers were detained for a range of violations.
Twelve individuals were apprehended for operating motor vehicles without a valid driver’s license. Two drivers were taken into custody while under the terms of an active driving ban. Additionally, one driver was arrested for operating a vehicle while under the influence of alcohol.
Following the completion of thorough investigations and documentation of each case, formal criminal charges are expected to be filed. Police officials emphasized the seriousness of these offenses and reiterated their commitment to enforcing traffic regulations. The North Macedonian Telegrafi Macedonia reported that the police issued a public appeal urging all citizens to adhere to traffic rules.
They stated that increased compliance with traffic laws is crucial for enhancing road safety and preventing future incidents involving drivers. The detained drivers are currently in police custody pending further legal proceedings.
