The Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, and Water Economy has announced a comprehensive restriction on movement within designated forest areas. This measure was implemented following government directives and in response to input from users of both the “National Forests” system and various National Parks that manage protected ecological zones. The Ministry stated that the decision to impose a complete restriction on movement in the forests is grounded in Article 57, Paragraph 3 of the Forest Law.
This action is deemed necessary due to heightened environmental risks and to proactively prevent potential forest fires within open areas. The restriction is scheduled to take effect on January 1, 2026, and will remain in place through August 31, 2026. During this period, access to the forests will be strictly regulated.
Individuals or groups wishing to enter these protected lands must obtain explicit authorization. Movement within the national forests will only be permitted upon presentation of a written permit. These necessary permits must be issued specifically by the relevant regional units overseeing the “National Forests” or the designated National Parks.
This protocol aims to balance conservation efforts with public access, ensuring that all activities within the sensitive forest ecosystem are managed and monitored to mitigate fire hazards and other environmental threats across the national landscape.
