Multiple Drivers Arrested Across North Macedonia for Reckless Driving
In the past 24 hours, law enforcement agencies across North Macedonia have resulted in the arrest of fourteen drivers for offenses related to reckless driving, according to a statement from the Ministry of Interior (MPB). The incidents occurred in various locations throughout the country. Eight of the drivers apprehended were operating vehicles without a valid driver’s license.
Additionally, two drivers were found to be under the influence of alcohol while exceeding posted speed limits. Four drivers were arrested in Skopje, with two each in Gostivar and Tetovo, and one in Stip, all without possessing a valid driver’s license. Specific incidents included one driver in Tetovo and Kumanovo driving at a significantly elevated speed, and another in Tetovo and Strumica operating a vehicle while intoxicated.
Furthermore, a driver in Resnica was found to be using a vehicle equipped with active anti-lock braking system (ABS) without proper authorization, and a driver in Veles was traveling in the opposite direction of traffic. Following the completion of thorough documentation, criminal charges are anticipated to be filed against all involved drivers. Authorities emphasized the importance of responsible driving and adherence to traffic regulations.
