Suspect Arrested in Connection with Podgorica Triple Murder
Mount Zeta – Vehid Muriq, 28, is currently in police custody following the investigation into a triple murder in Podgorica and the subsequent events in Rozhajë. Authorities allege Muriq was responsible for the deaths of three individuals. According to sources close to the investigation, including reports from “Vijesti,” Muriq appeared at his family home in Rozhajë shortly after the crime.
He reportedly told his mother that he had committed the act, stating, “I’ve cut their throats, I’ve killed three people… forgive me.”
The victims were identified as Denis Hot, 28, and Nezrin Hot, 27, both from Rozhajë, and Kenan Miraljemoviq, a citizen of Kosovo. Police officials confirmed that a conflict ensued between Muriq and the brothers, resulting in the use of a cold weapon. The arrest occurred in the center of the municipality of northern Montenegro shortly after 8:00 PM on April 22nd.
Investigations are ongoing to determine the precise circumstances surrounding the crime and the motive.
