Lawyer Tomë Gashi has asserted that the recent expressions of discontent within the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK) are not coincidental. He contends that this timing is strategic, aimed at undermining the party leader, Lumir Abdixhiku, specifically as the country prepares to form new governmental institutions. Speaking on Tv Dukagjini, Gashi expressed his belief that Abdixhiku is positioned for a significant role in the future administration, suggesting he could potentially assume the role of a deputy minister.
Gashi stated, “The timing of these dissatisfactions is entirely deliberate. The goal is not only to damage the LDK, but also Lumir Abdixhiku, who I believe could easily become a deputy minister.”
According to Gashi, the critical voices emerging from within the LDK have delayed their criticism until after the establishment of the new institutions. He suggested that this timing was motivated by a concern regarding Abdixhiku’s potential influence or appointment within the new governmental structure.
The lawyer implied that the timing suggests a calculated effort to diminish Abdixhiku’s standing within the LDK just before key institutional formations take place.
