Haradinaj: I do not expect a change for the president, Kurti is leading the country towards elections.

Haradinaj Expresses Skepticism Regarding Presidential Transition Process

Kosovo Alliance for the Future leader Ramush Haradinaj has commented on the ongoing dispute concerning the presidential position, stating he anticipates no substantial alterations before the constitutional deadline. Speaking on Klan Kosova’s “Rubikon” program, Haradinaj indicated the process is projected to conclude by the end of the legally established timeframe. The discussion centered on the lack of concrete progress from Prime Minister Albin Kurti.

Haradinaj suggested a potential scenario where Kurti might solicit the acting President, Albulena Haxhiu, to convene consultations with political parties, either prior to or following the deadline. Haradinaj emphasized that he does not observe serious efforts from Kurti to modify the current situation. “This is the constitutional deadline and it is expected to be fulfilled until the full constitutional deadline,” he stated.

The comments come amid continued political tension surrounding the selection of a new president in Kosovo. The focus remains on achieving a resolution within the established legal parameters.
