Haxhiu Addresses CEC Review, Assures No Risks
Prishtina, Kosovo – The President of Kosovo, Albulena Haxhiu, has provided clarification regarding a review currently underway involving a member of the Electoral Complaints Commission (CEC). According to a statement released by the presidency on April 30, 2026, the situation is being handled responsibly and in accordance with her duties. Responding to inquiries, President Haxhiu emphasized that the review does not pose any immediate risk to ongoing processes.
“With 10 members of the CEC, nothing is at risk, neither the certification of parties, nor the certification of election results, nor anything else,” she stated. The CEC currently comprises 11 members, including the presiding officer. The clarification comes in response to questions surrounding the specific matter under review.
