Jasharaj criticizes the LDK’s stance on the Rama-PDK coalition: Many have a sense of humor recently.

Analyst Jasharaj Questions LDK’s Strategy Following Coalition Agreement

Prishtina – Political analyst Durim Jasharaj has commented on the recently agreed-upon governance framework in Prishtina involving the People’s Party of Kosova (PDK) and led by Behgjet Pacalfa. Speaking on Pressing on T7 on May 5, 2026, Jasharaj expressed skepticism regarding the Liberty of Kosova (lDK)’s approach to the coalition. Jasharaj noted the lDK’s repeated statements about prioritizing local issues following national elections, questioning the timing of this approach in the context of the current national coalition.

He stated, “The LDK has a lot of humor lately, ‘saying that for other local issues the LDK will engage after national elections’. Now it’s not the time.. after local elections you’ll ask us if we’re with the PDK or not,” according to Jasharaj.

The analyst suggested the lDK’s primary concern is that aligning with the PDK could negatively impact its electoral prospects. “Its great fear is that affirmation with the PDK can damage it electorally,” Jasharaj explained. He further indicated that the lDK lacks the decisiveness to clearly define its political position.

The comments come amid ongoing discussions about the formation of the governing coalition in Prishtina, involving the ldk and the pdk.

  1. “It’s disheartening to see such a dismissive and frankly, disrespectful, approach to a significant political agreement.”
