Koçoska: Employment must be in line with the budget; not all requests can be approved

The Ministry of Finance has indicated that there is no guarantee of renewed contracts for the fifty former employees at the Children’s Clinic, who have remained unemployed for several months awaiting official confirmation. The uncertainty stems from the non-renewal of their existing employment agreements. Minister of Finance, Gordana Dimitrievska Koçoska, addressed the situation by citing budgetary limitations and existing financial obligations associated with the institution’s previous staffing levels.

She stated that the Ministry’s approvals for contract continuation are directly tied to the available fiscal resources. During her statement, the Minister highlighted discrepancies in the documentation provided for the current cycle. She noted that while the Ministry of Finance has historically granted approvals based on the means available to each institution, the data submitted this time was reportedly inaccurate.

Koçoska contrasted this with previous years when requests for contracts in force had been processed successfully. These statements underscore a significant administrative impasse regarding the continued employment status of the staff. The primary concern remains the financial viability underpinning the retention of these employees.

The Ministry’s stance suggests that the current operational data does not align with the necessary criteria for continued funding, making a positive resolution regarding their employment difficult to confirm at this time.
