The Zurich team from the Swiss Super League experienced a season marked by disappointing sporting performance. While the club is accustomed to competing for European qualification spots, this was not the case until the final three rounds, when the focus shifted to securing survival in the league. In an interview with Telegrafi, captain Lindrit Kamberi addressed the team’s struggles.
He suggested that the poor form experienced by Zurich was a direct consequence of major organizational shifts, particularly changes within the coaching staff. Despite falling short of their primary goal, Kamberi expressed satisfaction that the team ultimately managed to retain its position in the top flight. Kamberi reflected on the challenging campaign, noting that the objective of reaching the top six and contending for European berths was not achieved.
He stated, “The season was very difficult, and in the end, the objective was not achieved.” However, he acknowledged the team’s effort in the crucial late stages. “We have seen it before, but again, we secured our place in the Super League in the last three rounds,” he added. Overall, Kamberi concluded that while the season presented numerous difficulties, the squad should be proud of achieving what he considered the maximum possible outcome despite the substantial changes implemented throughout the year.
