Krasniqi Emphasizes Need for Skilled Leadership in Kosovo
Kosovo requires individuals with a demonstrated capacity for effective work, collaboration, and accountability, according to Memli Krasniqi, former chairman of the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK). Speaking on May 13, 2026, Krasniqi highlighted the importance of these qualities for the nation’s future. Krasniqi asserted that the PDK’s electoral list is deliberately designed to represent a broad spectrum of Kosovo’s population.
The list incorporates a diverse range of profiles, including professionals, young people, pensioners, veterans, and expatriate Kosovars. Furthermore, over 50% of the candidates are making their debut in political competition. “We need people who understand the demands of governance and are committed to serving the interests of all segments of society,” Krasniqi stated.
He emphasized the inclusion of experienced candidates alongside emerging voices, reflecting a commitment to inclusivity within the PDK’s platform. The aim, according to Krasniqi, is to ensure the PDK list effectively represents the diverse needs and backgrounds of the people of Kosovo.
