Kosovo Prime Minister Kurti Highlights Innovation as Key to Sustainable Future
Prishtina, Kosovo – Prime Minister Albin Kurti attended the observance of World Innovation and Creativity Day, an event organized by the Ministry of Industry, Entrepreneurship, Trade and Innovation under the theme “Innovation and creativity drivers for a sustainable future.”
During his remarks, Kurti underscored the importance of a deliberate approach to sustainable development. He stated that achieving this goal is not accidental, but rather the product of several key elements. These include effective public institutions, well-defined policies, and a thriving private sector actively engaged in innovation.
“Sustainable development is not the result of chance and not solely due to natural resources,” Kurti explained. “It is the result of functional public institutions and a dynamic private sector that values innovation and creativity.”
The Prime Minister highlighted Kosovo’s considerable human capital, specifically referencing the nation’s youth population and the contributions of the diaspora as vital resources. Kurti’s comments centered on the need for continued investment in these areas to drive future growth and ensure a prosperous, sustainable future for the country.
