Kurti Tours New Wind Park in Rahovec, Boosting Energy Production

Prime Minister Albin Kurti, alongside Minister of Economy Artane Rizvanolli, recently visited the construction site of a new wind park in Zatriq, within the Rahovec municipality, on April 30, 2026. The project, spearheaded by Çalik Renewables from Turkey and Eurokos from Kosovo, is anticipated to be completed in July. The wind park represents a significant investment, totaling 110 million euros, and is projected to add 70 megawatts of electricity generation capacity to Kosovo.

According to project details, the facility is designed to supply power to approximately 45,000 families. During the visit, Kurti emphasized the importance of the project as a demonstration of Kosovo’s potential for renewable energy development. He highlighted the role of a supportive legal and regulatory framework in attracting such investment.

The initiative underscores the government’s commitment to diversifying Kosovo’s energy sources and bolstering its electricity grid. Kurti toured the site, observing the progress of the construction.
