LSDM: Mickoski wants to arrest Gruevski

LSDM Accuses Mickoski of Seeking Gruevski Arrest to Enhance Political Standing

Skopje – The opposition LSDM party has publicly accused Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski of seeking to arrest former Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski following the recent constitutional amendment incorporating Bulgarian citizens. According to LSDM, Mickoski’s stated intentions involve using the arrest as a means to bolster his image within European circles and project an image of pro-EU alignment. The LSDM asserts that Mickoski’s motivations extend beyond simply appealing to European standards.

They claim the primary goal is to consolidate power and prolong a period of alleged illicit activity. Recent internal reviews within the LSDM have reportedly focused on securing Gruevski’s continued position as a vice-president, an action that remains incomplete. “By fulfilling these two conditions – the inclusion of Bulgarians in the Constitution and the arrest of Gruevski – Mickoski intends to cultivate a more favorable perception among European stakeholders,” stated an LSDM representative.

The party views this as a calculated strategy rather than a genuine commitment to European integration. The accusations center around concerns that Mickoski is attempting to manipulate public opinion and political dynamics. The situation remains a point of contention within Macedonian politics, with the LSDM continuing to scrutinize the government’s actions.
