Kurti Intensifies Lvv Efforts as Presidential Election Deadline Nears
With just nine days remaining before the constitutional deadline for Kosovo’s presidential election, Vetëvendosje (Self-Determination) MP Arbër Rexhaj has indicated a heightened level of political activity led by Prime Minister Albin Kurti. Speaking to KosovaPress, Rexhaj stated that the next week is anticipated to see an increase in meetings convened by Kurti. Rexhaj emphasized the need to shift from broad discussions towards specific proposals concerning the selection of candidates.
He predicted a greater frequency of meetings throughout the coming week, with a focus on formulating concrete suggestions for names. “I expect an increase in the number of meetings,” Rexhaj told KosovaPress. “I expect there to be meetings throughout the coming week.
Naturally, we need to move to concrete proposals for the names of the solution that leads us towards the election of a president or a president.”
Rexhaj indicated that internal discussions within the lvv parliamentary group have identified no obstacles hindering the progress of negotiations. The statement reflects a period of intensified efforts by Prime Minister Kurti to secure an agreement before the election deadline.
