Mickoski: Increase in oil derivative prices expected tomorrow

Prime Minister Christian Mickoski indicated expectations for price adjustments for energy products on the following day. Mickoski stated that he anticipates an increase of 2 to 2.5 denars for oil and approximately 1 dehnar for gasoline. He noted that despite these anticipated hikes, the country currently maintains the region’s lowest prices for refined derivatives.

According to Mickoski, the projected price adjustments are a direct consequence of rising costs in international markets. During interviews, he detailed the basis for these predictions, mentioning that global exchanges saw an increase of 5–6% in oil prices last week, accompanied by a smaller rise of 2–3% for gasoline. “I expect an increase of 2–2.5 denars per liter of oil and about 1 dehnar for gasoline, but we will wait for the Regulatory Commission to provide the final figures,” Mickoski stated.

The Prime Minister’s comments suggest that while the national energy sector is subject to global market fluctuations, the current pricing structure remains relatively favorable compared to neighboring regions. The final confirmation regarding the exact magnitude of the price increase is pending the official figures released by the Regulatory Commission.
