Kosovo’s Mikse Marciale Federation Makes Historic European MMA Championship Debut

Loutraki, Greece – The Mikse Marciale Arts Federation of Kosovo (FAMMK) made a remarkable debut on the international stage at the European Mixed Martial Arts Championship, securing three medals. The event, organized by the Global Association of Mixed Martial Arts, showcased the burgeoning talent within the federation. Ermal Berisha achieved the team’s most significant victory, claiming a silver medal in the -70 kg category.

Berisha demonstrated strong performance throughout the competition, securing two key wins prior to the final round. However, a serious cut to his chin necessitated intervention from the medical staff, preventing his participation in the championship match. Ylli Rexhaj also contributed to Kosovo’s success, winning a bronze medal in the -80 kg category.

This accomplishment marked another notable achievement for the Kosovar team. Furthermore, Muhamed Kashtanjeva secured a medal in the youth categories, adding to the overall positive outcome for the FAMMK.
