Croatian President Rejects Claims of Aggression Against Serbia
Zagreb – Croatian President Zoran Milanović has strongly refuted claims suggesting a coordinated military buildup by Croatia, Albania, and Kosovo aimed at attacking Serbia. Speaking at a ceremony marking the 35th anniversary of the Third Battalion of the Croatian Guards, Milanović dismissed the assertions as “nonsense.”
The President emphasized that Croatia does not perceive any of its neighbors as adversaries and is committed to fostering peaceful and friendly relations within the region. He addressed the specific claims circulating regarding preparations for an attack on Serbia, stating unequivocally that they are unfounded.
“Croatia does not see anyone as an enemy… claims that Croatia, Albania, and Kosovo are preparing to attack Serbia are nonsense,” Milanović declared. He argued that such rhetoric hinders the development of constructive relationships. Milanović reiterated Croatia’s desire for civil relations with its neighbors, based on mutual benefit and cooperation.
He stressed the importance of open dialogue and respectful communication to build strong regional partnerships. The Croatian government continues to prioritize diplomatic solutions and peaceful engagement with all countries in the Balkans.
