Minister Minčev Highlights Importance of Administrative Procedures in Strengthening Rule of Law

Belgrade – Minister of Public Administration, Goran Minčev, participated in a round table discussion focused on “Good Governance and the Rule of Law: Preventing Unnecessary Administrative Disputes and Strengthening the Enforcement of Judicial Decisions.” The event, co-organized by the Ministry of Public Administration and SIGMA/OECD, addressed critical aspects of ensuring effective governance. During his address, Minister Minčev underscored the significance of administrative procedures within a state governed by the rule of law and their role in fostering trust between citizens and public institutions. He stated that these procedures are central to the realization of rights and the establishment of confidence in governmental operations.

“Administrative procedures are the place where rights are realized and where trust in institutions is built, for which our focus remains their full and dignified implementation,” Minčev emphasized. The round table’s primary objective was to present the findings of a recent analysis conducted by SIGMA/OECD. Discussions centered on strategies to minimize disputes arising from administrative processes and to bolster the consistent enforcement of judicial decisions.
